We need foster families! Our foster families care for animals that aren’t ready for adoption. Most foster placements are two to six weeks, and are for nursing mothers and their litters, young kittens, puppies, injured pets or animals needing socialization or time away from the shelter. | Molly |
| Molly, an eight year old Plott Hound,needed some extra attention so we sent her to a loving foster home. This is what they have to say about her. "Molly is a calm, gentle girl. She has been with us in foster, and we have enjoyed watching her as she gets comfortable and gets accustomed to living inside a house. Every day she learns something new, and we are delighted to see her reveal a sweet and sometimes silly personality. She gets along with other dogs, and is just a bit shy with new people, though she does love to be petted. She needs someone who can help her continue to gain confidence."

| Momma stole our hearts, and we know she'll steal your's. Momma may not look like much of a lover-dog, but she is. This girl is a sweet and affectionate pup who just wants to be around people. She is good in a car and on a leash, but sometimes she can be a brat with other dogs, so meet and greets are a must. |

 Become a Member of
the Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society
SFAS&HS animals are some of the happiest, healthiest and most rapidly-adopted shelter animals around, and your membership donation will help to ensure that this continues.
Ongoing and increased financial community support is key to the maintenance of the Shelter’s top quality services and programs, as well as the addition of new programs necessary to satisfy the needs of our community. You might consider donating in honor of a loved one, in memory of a person or companion animal or simply because you want to help all the Shelter animals by becoming a member. All donations are tax-deductible, and Honorees will receive notification of your gift.

Through a monthly donation to the Shelter, you can help ensure the finest care and comfort for the Shelter animals of our community.
What is monthly giving?
Monthly giving is a simple way to make regular contributions to the Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society. As a monthly donor, your donation is automatically billed to your credit card at the middle of each month.
How do I participate?
Simply decide how much you would like to give each month, and then CLICK HERE. We provide acknowledgement letters for all donations for your tax records.

| Planned Giving |
|
 A gift to SFAS&HS through your will or living trust is a powerful statement of your support for our mission: to reunite people with their lost animal companions, and re-home those animals that have gone unclaimed into new homes through our adoption program. It may also provide a reduction in your taxable estate.
The most common planned gift is a bequest through your will or living trust. You can arrange a gift of a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or even all or part of the residuary of your estate. If you would like to make such a gift to SFASHS, your attorney may wish to include language similar to the following:
"I give, devise, and bequeath to Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society now or formally at 100 Caja del Rio Rd., Santa Fe, NM 87507, (dollar amount or __ percent of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate), to be used for its general purposes."

 Our dogs love to sleep on Kuranda Dog beds, but we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for a shelter dog to sleep in comfort, please click here.

***Please note: we can always use higher-end food for our animals, especially our cats. Their stomachs tend to be the most sensitive. While we do appreciate donations of the above foods, premium brands are often better for use with our cats. Thank you for helping us help them!
