| Molly |
| Molly, an eight year old Plott Hound, needed some extra attention so we sent her to a loving foster home. This is what they have to say about her. "Molly is a calm, gentle girl. She has been with us in foster, and we have enjoyed watching her as she gets comfortable and gets accustomed to living inside a house. Every day she learns something new, and we are delighted to see her reveal a sweet and sometimes silly personality. She gets along with other dogs, and is just a bit shy with new people, though she does love to be petted. She needs someone who can help her continue to gain confidence."

| Deena |
| Deena is a sensitive and sweet girl who is looking for her forever home. She is a little uncertain with change so she may be best suited for a secure and quiet home environment rather than a busy and active household, but she would make an excellent lap cat. She has had a rough life up until now so she would prefer to be an indoor only cat. |

| Momma |
| Momma stole our hearts, and we know she'll steal your's. Momma may not look like much of a lover-dog, but she is. This girl is a sweet and affectionate pup who just wants to be around people. She is good in a car and on a leash, but sometimes she can be a brat with other dogs, so meet and greets are a must. |

SAVING LIVES
SFAS&HS Joins the ASPCA $100,000 Challenge: How you can help!
SFAS&HS has accepted a major challenge issued by the ASPCA: save more lives this August, September and October than we did last year. The Save More Lives contest is one in which only 46 shelters nationwide were selected to participate, and ours is the only one in New Mexico and one of only five in the entire Four Corners region. Not only do we have the chance to save more animals, but if we win, SFAS&HS will receive a grant of $100,000 - this would allow us to save even more lives year-round! How can you help? By adopting! We'll be holding adoption specials, working closely with transfer partners, and using other innovative ways that will not only help us to win this contest, but to provide even more options for saving lives. Come out to adopt today, and stay tuned for more information! Remember - with your help we can win! When it comes to working together to save lives, there are no losers! Read More. |

WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR FRIENDS
Santa Fe Tails: because some dogs need a little something extra.
Not every dog in our adoption kennels is perfect. In fact, like us humans, hardly any of them are. But, like us, they can get along pretty well if they have someone to love them and take care of them. Some dogs, however, need someone to go that extra mile for them. At SFAS&HS, we don't give up on those dogs. To give them the time and special attention they need, we partner with our friends Joey and Hannah at Santa Fe Tails. Without charging your shelter a dime, Joey and Hannah work with our "special needs" dogs to give them the training, help, and confidence they need to become part of a family. They have saved many lives, and work tirelessly to make our very improvable dogs ready to go home. Not only do they provide these services for us, they offer a host of pet services to our Santa Fe Community. Want to find out more? Visit their website by clicking here. And take a moment to thank them for all they do for the animals of our community. Read More. |
