Transporter/Sales Associate

The Santa Fe Animal Shelter’s premier resale stores, Look What the Cat Dragged In, seeks a full-time pickup/delivery driver who will also work as a Sales Associate. Must be able to lift, pack, and move heavy items such as furniture, artwork, housewares and shelter-related goods. Previous cargo truck driving experience preferred. Qualified candidates also should have an eye for detail, love to help customers and care about how the store looks to the public. Adoption counselor

Help animals find the perfect match! Join the Santa Fe Animal Shelter adoption team.

Ideal applicant must be personable, have excellent communication and organizational skills, while working respectfully with the public in a fast-paced environment. Multi-tasking ability and strong focus skills required.

Moderate computer skills and technical proficiency desired. Must be comfortable handling a variety of domestic animals, and work well in a team environment. Bilingual (Spanish-English) preferred.

Tasks include but are not limited to: evaluating adoption applications, educating the public on humane society standards in accordance with organization guidelines. Must be a quick learner, able to retain and relay information regarding animal health and behavior. Manage a multi-line phone system, introduce adoptable animals to resident pets, photographing and posting animals to website, writing animal profiles and emailing ads to various publications in required format and occasional kennel cleaning.
