The Santa Fe Animal Shelter believes that every animal deserves the best care possible, regardless of circumstances. Every animal who comes through our doors receives a veterinary examination, which includes a health checkup, vaccinations and spaying/neutering. We also offer a variety of veterinary services to the general public at affordable prices.

The Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinic at 2570-B Camino Entrada offers low-cost, high quality spay/neuter and vaccination programs to help ensure fewer unwanted puppies and kittens, and to help the overall health of the animals. Several programs, including Gatos de Santa Fe and our participation in National Spay Day, help support our efforts to reduce animal overpopulation through low-cost or no-fee altering.

Our mobile clinic is a key component of our comprehensive effort to end animal overpopulation. The mobile team is able to provide surgery and care to an average of 30 animals a day in areas near Santa Fe.

The Clare Eddy Thaw Animal Hospital, located on the shelter campus, provides veterinary care for the Shelter’s homeless population, as well as a separate section for companion animals from the general public.
