Our south-side clinic, 2570 Camino Entrada, offers low-cost vaccinations for companion animals Tuesday afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m., Fridays from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 2 to 5 p.m. The walk-in clinics require no appointment and are first come, first served.
The Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinic at 2570-B Camino Entrada (next to Outback Steakhouse) offers a low-cost spay/neuter program to help ensure fewer unwanted puppies and kittens and to help the overall health of the animals.

Vaccinations and Vaccination Clinics, 2570 Camino Entrada: Low-cost vaccination clinics are Friday mornings from 8 to 11:30 a.m. and Tuesday and Friday afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m. and Saturday afternoons from 2 to 5 p.m. No appointments are necessary for vaccinations.
Community Cat Care (Gatos de Santa Fe): Free spaying/neutering for community or feral cats under our Trap-Neuter-Return program daily during spay/neuter days (call for tentative appointments). Humane traps are available for loan with a $50 fully refundable deposit).
Pricing & Forms
To schedule an appointment or for more information on our specials or regular pricing, owners may call the Santa Fe Animal Shelter Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinic at 505-474-6422. The clinic is located on the city’s south side, 2570 Camino Entrada.
Regular spay/neuter prices are as follows:
Costs for domesticated rabbits are $75 for females and $50 for males. Rabbits must be at least 6 months of age before surgery.
Costs for cats are $40 for males and $60 for females.
Costs for dogs are $110 to $150 based on weight and gender.
For income-qualified clients (households making less than $40,000 annually and/or receiving public assistance), spay/neuter prices are as follows. Clinic staff will verify income and/or public assistance.
Costs for domesticated rabbits are $60 for females and $40 for males. Rabbits must be at least 6 months of age before surgery.
Costs for cats are $30 for males and $40 for females.
Costs for dogs are $65 to $90 based on weight and gender.
Additional fees apply for pregnant/in-heat animals and for female dogs over 100 pounds.

The Santa Fe Animal Shelter also offers euthanasia and cremation services at the Clare Eddy Thaw Animal Hospital on our Shelter Campus. (Please call 505-983-2755 to schedule an appointment.)
Owner Present Euthanasia: $60
Owner Requested Euthanasia: $50
Communal Cremations (no cremains returned to owner): Under 25 pounds: $50 ; 26-75 pounds: $70 , 76-125 pounds: $70, 126-175 lbs: $85 over 175 lbs: $85 plus $.50/lb over 175
Private Cremations (only the owner’s pet’s cremains returned in a tin urn): Exotics: $50; Under 25 pounds, $100; 26 to 75 pounds: $130; 76 to 125 pounds, $190.
If you choose to pick up your animal’s remains, they will be available within one week.
If you do not wish to have your companion animal cremated, we will respectfully handle the body for a $30 fee.
