Pet Licensing – it’s more than just a good idea.

… can help get your pet home to you faster if he/she becomes lost.

PLEASE NOTE: Effective April 1, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners increased pet licensing fees for county residents.  Current fees are: Unaltered Animals: $25 per year; Altered Animals: $10 per year

License fees:

City residents: Altered animal – $10 per year; unaltered animal – $50 per year (Please Note: City residents have the option of a 1-, 2- or 3-year license. If you live in the City and are 65 years of age or older, you’re entitled to a 50 percent discount on your pet’s license! This special offer is for altered animals only.)

County residents: Altered animals – $10 per year; unaltered animals – $25 per year

To purchase a pet license, you will need:

1)  A copy of your pet’s current rabies certificate

2)  Proof of spay or neuter

3)  Payment

4)  Photo ID if paying with credit or debit card

Online: You may also purchase your pet’s license online following these easy steps. Please go this link: License Your Pet After you submit your information and payment, you will receive by mail your tag and certificate. Please note: Tags are intended to last several years. If this is a renewal, you will receive an updated certificate. Replacement tags are available for $3.
