All our animals are special, but sometimes we have people who want to help give homeless animals a paw up – so businesses and individuals sponsor the animals through their daily upkeep or their adoption fee. Meet March’s sponsored animals, whose adoption fees are waived through the month:

Han Solo, who is being sponsored by our friends at Back Road Pizza, is a 2-year-old American Pit Bull Mix who weighs around 60 pounds. He found his way to the Shelter has a stray and is now looking for a new home. Our Behavior Team says he is calm and listens well, yet he also likes to play and run around.

Sammie (Samantha), who is being sponsored by an anonymous supporter, is an 8-year-old Calico domestic shorthair.

We’d say Sammie’s favorite place is on your lap. She is very affectionate with our staff, and came to us already knowing her name as ‘Sammie.’  She is also a classic feline and wants things her way.  She will push into you for more affection, and her tail taps in happiness while her chin is being scratched, but come time to move her off your lap, she often gets a little feisty. Come and visit with our striking calico lady and see if she is your purr-fect companion.
