How to Place an Animal on Hold

If you cannot visit our shelter right away, we offer an adoption hold program for your convenience. You may place a paid hold on an available animal by phone during business hours (9 a.m.- 6 p.m. daily.) The following fees apply: First hold, $35; second hold, $15*. (Please read the following scenarios.)

Scenarios: A first hold is good until close of business the following day. For example, if you place a hold at any time on Monday, it would be good until the adoption center closes at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

A second hold will go into effect the morning after a first hold expires and will be good until close of business the same day. For example, if a first hold expires on Friday; the second hold would come into effect when we open at 9 a.m. on Saturday and would remain in effect until the adoption center closes at 6 p.m. on Saturday.

*Hold fees are non-refundable and are not applied toward the adoption fee.
