All adult cats are available for an adoption fee of $9 through the shelter’s 9 Lives for $9 campaign, which it is running in partnership with Best Friends Animal Society. The national adoption promotion aims to shine a spotlight on cats. Additional adoption incentives for cats includes half-price adoption fees for kittens and fee-waived adoptions for all senior cats 9 years and older.

The shelter also is encouraging adoptions of dogs through its Big Love adoption promotion. All dogs 20 pounds and more are available for an adoption fee of $20 through August. The promotion doesn’t include dogs considered Shelter Heroes.

The shelter is open for adoptions until 6 p.m. Friday, 7 p.m. Saturday and 6 p.m. Sunday through the summer in an effort to find new homes for more animals. The shelter also is offering a number of free items with every adoption, including a bath and brush from Z Pet Hotel, and a 25 percent off coupon for merchandise in the shelter’s adoption center store.

Other incentives in the shelter’s Weekend Wags promotion include free training consultations and shelter merchandise. All animals available for adoption at the shelter are given everything they need from the shelter’s behavior and medical teams, including spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccinations and flea/tick treatment, microchips, heartworm testing, a free wellness exam and 30 days free pet insurance.
