Thank you to Back Road Pizza for sponsoring Buddy’s adoption fee for May! Buddy is a sweet American Bulldog terrier mix who found his way to the Shelter and is now looking for his new home. He is about a year old and weighs about 50 pounds. Buddy is neutered, micro-chipped and comes with 30 days of pet insurance. He has been in our playgroups at the shelter and does very well with other dogs and knows some basic commands. He loves to go on walks.

Joe’s had a rough life. We suspect he was an owned cat who somehow lost his owners and he ended up on the streets. Thanks to Bobbi Heller, pictured, and many others in the neighborhood where he ended up, he was rescued from a cistern and almost certain death. He’s now with us looking for a new family. He does have feline immunodeficiency virus, an infectious disease (to other cats) that usually just requires monitoring and regular checkups. Thanks to a generous contributor, his adoption fee is being sponsored this month, so please come visit him, fall in love and adopt. He’s a friendly loving kitty and we so want him to have a loving family!

Linda is a 5-year-old mixed breed female, who looks like she might have some hound blended in her. She weighs around 55 pounds.

Linda has been in many of our doggie playgroups and our Behavior Team says she enjoys meeting other dogs. She is great on a leash and loves to go for walks.

UPDATE: Lizzy has been adopted! Lizzy is a 3-yea- old, tri-color spayed female Plott Hound mix. She weighs about 70 pounds.

Lizzy found her way to the Shelter as a stray and is now looking for a new home and family that will love and care for her.  Lizzy loves to go on walks and is great on a leash.  She enjoys playtime and being around other canines.  As with most big dogs, Lizzy isn’t quite aware of her size so she can overwhelm smaller dogs in her playstyle but it’s because she is just such a social dog and wants everyone to play with her.

Myles, 8, is being sponsored this month by an anonymous supporter. This 12-pound boy has long soft fur and is quite easy to handle. He loves to purrr and meow as he shows you affection.
