All our animals are special, but sometimes we have people who want to help give homeless animals a paw up – so businesses and individuals sponsor the animals through their daily upkeep or their adoption fee. Meet August’s sponsored animals, whose adoption fees are waived through the month:

Rita is a friendly gal who is about 18 months old. This American pit bull mix loves dogs and people and her absolute favorite thing to do is follow around her human. She also knows how to “sit pretty and stay.” She has become a behavior staff favorite as she is super sweet and cuddly. Her adoption fee is being sponsored by Piper and her gang at Back Road Pizza, 1807 Second St., No. 1, 955-9055.

Buttermilk, a 2-year-old lilac point, cream colored shorthaired kitty, is a beautiful feline with a striking personality.She is so friendly and loves to be pet. She also enjoys the company of both people and her feline friends. 

A guardian angel has sponsored Buttermilk and has waived her adoption fee for the month.
