The Cat Truck Assistant’s is responsible for executing the pick-up of merchandise for the shelter, delivering merchandise in some instances, unloading and setting up furniture and large items on the floor of both stores. Behavior Team Members are responsible for supporting and maintaining the physical and psychological well-being of the animals in the custody and care of the Santa Fe Animal Shelter. With the goal of providing exceptional humane care for our animals, a Behavior Team Member is responsible for performing the following duties, including but not limited to: running playgroups, walking dogs of all sizes and strengths, performing behavior assessments on cats and dogs, implementing behavior modification training plans, assist the public with questions they may have about behavior problems with their dogs or cats, take animals to offsite events and represent the shelter in a professional manner at other shelter events. In addition, this role involves acting as a liaison between the behavior department and other shelter departments and its volunteers. The Payroll and Finance Associate’s responsibility is to work closely with the Director of Finance and HR Director in maintaining the Shelter’s financial, payroll and personnel records.
