Cremation Services available at Santa Fe Animal Shelter:

Cremation of beloved pets performed with integrity, dignity, respect and compassion.

Private cremation allows for guardians to have their pet’s remains returned to them in a temporary urn.

Communal cremation is where multiple pets are cremated together and the cremated remains are scattered on shelter grounds.

Personalized clay paw prints allow you to hold your pet’s unique paw imprint forever.

Solidified Remains

We have partnered with Parting Stone, a local company, that turns cremated remains into solidified remains. The purification process transforms standard cremated remains into beautiful stones that can be kept or scattered. If you have animal cremated remains that you are interested in having turned into solidified remains you can work directly with Parting Stone.

Pet Memorials

Santa Fe Animal Shelter has a Pet Memorial Labyrinth located on shelter grounds to honor the pets we love, the pets we’ve lost, and those we’ve yet to meet. With a $100 gift, a personalized heart-shaped tag with your pet’s name on it will be displayed along the labyrinth wall.

The tag will read: Supporting Santa Fe Animal Shelter in honor of (your pet’s name).
If you would like to purchase a personalized tag and support the lives of homeless animals in need, fill out a form to get started.

Naming Opportunities

The Santa Fe Animal Shelter campus receives about 2,000 visitors per week. The high volume of foot traffic makes our shelter a place where you can achieve visibility among a wide demographic of people. Naming a room or kennel visually shows your support of the shelter and is a great way to honor a loved one.
