Public Dog Parks

Dog Parks: Shared Fun Responsibly

Just outside the shelter gates are 5 beautiful public use dog parks provided by the shelter and maintained by generous supporters! Our public dog parks are open daily from sunrise to sunset year round. If you’re planning on visiting, please take a peek at the park’s guidelines to help ensure everyone’s safety and fun. The shelter provides water seasonally and always suggests bringing your own.

Community Dog Park

Are you and your pup feeling social!? Head to the large, fenced-in yard that has 7 acres for you and your pet to roam freely while socializing with other people and their pups. This park is located on the left side of the road leading up to the shelter gates.

Samantha’s Small Dog Park

If your pup is 30 pounds or less or is impaired and cannot join yards with large dogs, this is the park for you! This park is located on the right side of the road before entering the shelter gates.

Single User Dog Parks

We understand that not all dogs like to socialize but still need exercise and the freedom to run! There are 3 single user dog parks available located on the right hand side of the road leading toward the shelter gates. Plan ahead! Our single use parks are popular and may have wait times for use. If there is a line to use the parks, please limit your play time to 30 minutes or less.
