At Santa Fe Animal Shelter, we believe every animal deserves a safe, loving place to call home. Right now, over 325 animals are under our roof, each with a unique story and a heart full of hope. The average cost of care for each one is $1,609!
One of those precious lives is Athena. Just a few months ago, she arrived at SFAS with deep, life-threatening wounds, terrified and broken after a brutal encounter with a wild animal. Our team gave everything to save her, dedicating hours to surgeries, cleaning, and healing her wounds, bit by bit. Through it all, Athena’s spirit remained unbroken. Despite everything she’s been through, she’s met every moment with love. It’s as if she’s been saying, ‘Thank you for believing in me.’
