Pet Licensing – it’s more than just a good idea.

Having a valid pet license …

• can help get your pet home to you faster if he/she becomes lost
• will reduce fines if your pet is picked up
• will keep you in compliance with state and local Animal Control Ordinances.

License fees:

City residents:
Altered animal – $10 per year
Unaltered animal – $50 per year
(Please Note: City residents have the option of a 1-, 2- or 3-year license.)

County residents:
Altered animals – $10 per year
Unaltered animals – $25 per year

To purchase a pet license, you will need:

1)  A copy of your pet’s current rabies certificate
2)  Proof of spay or neuter
3)  Payment
4)  Photo ID if paying with credit or debit card on site

For your convenience, pet licenses may be purchased in the following ways:

Online: You may purchase your pet’s license online following a few easy steps. Please go this link: License Your Pet. After you submit your information and payment, you will receive your tag and certificate by mail. Please note: Tags are intended to last several years. If this is a renewal, you will receive an updated certificate. Replacement tags, if needed, are available for an additional $3.

By mail: Download and fill out this form: City/County License Form.  Send along with a copy of your current rabies certificate to:
